EDTECH
I audited the onboarding and sign-up experience for Nextflag to uncover usability and accessibility barriers preventing users from completing core actions and engaging with the product. The goal was to identify friction, improve clarity, and provide a prioritised roadmap for a smoother, more inclusive experience.
Project Type:
UX Audit | Usability & Accessibility Teardown | Onboarding Experience Review
Timeline:
1 week (Expert Review)
Tools:
Figma | Miro | WCAG 2.2 | NN/g Heuristics | Heuristic Evaluation Framework
Problem
Nextflag’s onboarding relied on multiple branching paths, inconsistent standards, and behaviours that broke user expectations. Several issues directly blocked account creation, caused confusion, or made it impossible for users to recover from failed sign-up attempts.
The team needed clarity on what was causing drop-offs, where users were getting stuck, and which issues to prioritise to make onboarding intuitive, accessible, and conversion-ready.
Role:
I led the full expert teardown of the onboarding experience, evaluating usability, accessibility, and product logic. See full audit report for detailed findings.
* This projects was completed as an independent review.
